Lessons
Lessons consist of one 45 minute or one 30 minute private lesson each week covering repertoire, technique, theory, note reading, and ear training.
A variety of styles from classical to pop are introduced to the student. The main focus of the program stresses the individual interests and learning styles of each student.
The student also participates in Performance Class, providing an opportunity for solo and ensemble performance, theory study and games, and enhancement of listening skills. The Performance Class meets for 45 minutes and replaces the weekly private lesson.
In addition to the performance class, students are invited to perform in the Shiner Music Studio fall/winter recital and spring recital.
Summer lessons are offered on an individual basis and scheduled by contacting the teacher.
Monthly Tuition Plan
Tuition is payable at or before the first lesson of each month. A 10.00 late charge will be assessed if payment is not received by the 10th.
Payment may be made in credit card, checks or via Zelle.
Tuition is based on a 32-lesson period divided into eight equal payments — August through May, thus the monthly fee remains consistent regardless of the number of lessons per month.
A combination of private lessons, performance classes and recitals make up this 32 week schedule.
Registration
A registration form and non-refundable registration fee is required before lessons can be scheduled or started.
